INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF 24VOLT  10 WATT SOLAR PANEL

 ON MOBILITY SCOOTERS

These panels are not intended to replace normal charging of the batteries        with mains 240 volts power.    They are to assist or increase the range of

 The scooter when they are in use.  

These panels are supplied with brackets to fit on metal scooter baskets. Each panel is supplied with four tie bases and four tie wraps to secure

The cable as required on the scooter.   The brackets are drilled with

Holes so that the solar panel can be secured with tie wraps or bolts to prevent loss or theft.   This is entirely optional.

To connect the solar panel simply place the panel on the basket

and then run the cable to the  battery charging socket using the

tie bases and tie wraps provided.   Although the solar panel is             

waterproof, it is advisable to protect the electrical connections

in  adverse weather conditions.   The panel will still charge in

cloudy weather, although it will work better in sunny conditions..
